Chrome browser has received a boost with three generative AI features. This is an initiative to
include Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their tools and products. Google has announced these features
to include an AI tab organizer, custom themes, and a writing tool. This follows the integration of
Gemini into pixel and other compatible devices. Gemini’s functionality is not well accepted with
critics who claim that marketing videos released of its uses have been edited to make it look more
capable than it is.
The new chrome features include a tabs organizer which is designed to help users keep their tabs
well organized and easy to manage. This is a good one for users who open multiple tabs at a time
and multitask. The algorithm helps group related tabs for easy navigation or referencing. To
do this, it will automatically suggest and group the tabs and even suggest names and emojis for
them.
The custom themes feature is also AI-generated and is quite helpful in personalizing user experience.
It uses a text-to-image diffusion model to generate wallpapers for Android 14 and Pixel 8 devices.
There are so many ways that users can personalize their experience like choosing their visual style,
subject, mood, and color. These tips will be used by Chrome to generate a theme that matches the
preferences.
“Help me write” is the third feature and it is expected to be released in the next algorithm update.
This AI tool is expected to assist users in creating content in any niche. With just a few prompts, the
The “Help me write” feature will bring up relevant suggestions to create the content you need.
Another AI feature released by Google is the text-to-video (TTV) generation model Lumiere. This bot
generates attractive videos from text prompts. It uses a Space-Time U-Net (STUNet) architecture
that learns by downsampling signals in space and time and processes the frames simultaneously. This
helps it to achieve coherent motion. Using an SSR model on overlapping windows can
achieve high-resolution videos. It has great functionalities including image-to-video, video inpainting,
video editing, stylized generation, video stylization, and cinematography. features.
Research by Google has shown a preference for Lumiere over other TTV models. They note that their
technology may be prone to risk of misuse for creating fake or harmful content.
