Today, we wake up to the sad news of revenge porn in which a woman from Guwahati has to live with the pain of her pictures photoshopped by Artificial intelligence into nudes and sold online. She’s not the only one suffering from the use of these nonconsensual deep fakes, hundreds or thousands of women and children are silently suffering due to the use of these AI art-generated images.
Pornbots can now steal your identity from the social media platforms such as Instagram and generate revenge porn. It will take you a painful process and time to get it deleted! Even worse, everyone who sees it will believe it’s you – the Artificial Intelligence photoshop tools are becoming sophisticated and more difficult to distinguish from reality.
Well, the safety of women is even negotiable in the gym. Many seem not to care enough to provide safe spaces for women.

Most of her photos were edited by AI from her old Facebook account which was no longer active.
With the realization, Mort said that “…punished for being a woman with a public voice of any kind. That’s the best way I can describe it. It’s saying, ‘Look: we can always do this to you.’”
NCB also featured Anita who was surprised to find her face used on another person’s body for pornography purposes. “This has obviously been going on for quite a while without my knowledge, I had no idea – it could have been years for all I know.”
Staring at a Big Wave of AI Deep Fakes
Unlike in the past where only celebrities and those with heavy online presence were primary targets, now Artificial Intelligence photoshop and deep fakes are targeting those with minimal online presence. “Now suddenly people who are vulnerable are people who have very small footprints online,” Hany Farid, a Professor at the University of California said in a statement.
While revenge porn is punishable by law, only four states in the US ban nonconsensual deep fakes. However, in most countries such as India, there are no laws to protect women and children from Artificial Intelligence generated images. As a result, criminals and paedophiles take advantage of women.
Ewing in an emotional apology to women whose pictures had been photoshopped and used for pornographic purposes pointed out that “Your names were dragged into it and you were sexualized against your will. I’m sorry that my actions have led to further exploitation of you and your body, and I’m sorry your experience is not uncommon.”
