On Sunday, during an event held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a speech that was seamlessly translated in real-time through the AI-powered tool named Bhashini.
Emphasizing the potential of this innovation, PM Modi expressed his conviction that such technology would enable him to effectively communicate with a wider audience.
Addressing the attendees at the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 at Namo Ghat, he remarked, “This was my first experience with AI technology. Typically conversing in Hindi, AI will now aid in translating my speeches into Tamil.”
The Bhashini platform represents an innovative AI-driven language translation system designed to facilitate seamless communication between individuals conversing in their native language and those speaking different Indian languages.
Additionally, within the online platform, there exists a dedicated section called “Bhasadaan,” offering opportunities for individuals to participate in various crowdsourcing initiatives. This feature is accessible on both Android and iOS devices.
